The science of work, how we work, and how we experience work

Hi. I use data storytelling to make work better

Let’s design work that people love

I lead the people data & analytics function at the University of Virginia.

I developed and am teaching the inaugural people analytics graduate course (HRD6397) at the University of Houston.

And have 20+ years of experience in people analytics, including founding & leading teams at the U.S. General Services Administration, Carrier, UBS, and Allstate.

My background is in IO psychology, and I have a PhD in business psychology from The Chicago School.

I’m passionate about data visualization. I refer to it as the seeing & thinking of data.

My research in data visualization literacy focused on how people see data clearly and think about its meaning.

I’ve presented at national conferences and workshops.

I write about people science as the intersection of IO psychology, people analytics, and the future of work.

I have a modest start on Google Scholar & ResearchGate.

SIOP26 panelist on Framing the return: Data, stories, and lessons on remote, hybrid, and on-site work; my focus is on the great return-to-office clash.

Co-authored a SIOP whitepaper on the intersection of psychology and analytics.

Reflection on how data viz became my career catalyst.

Thoughts on how AI is reshaping how we experience.
